Refund Policy

1. Introduction

This Refund Policy explains the circumstances under which refunds may or may not be available for services purchased from Clemon Marketing. Because digital marketing services involve planning, strategy, professional time, campaign management, content development, optimization, and other work performed specifically for a client, refund eligibility may depend on the nature and stage of the service.

This policy is designed to set clear expectations up front, so that both Clemon Marketing and our clients have a shared understanding of how refund requests are handled at each stage of an engagement — from initial purchase, through active work, to project completion.

By purchasing or engaging Clemon Marketing for digital marketing services, you acknowledge and agree to the terms described in this Refund Policy. Where a separate written service agreement, proposal, or statement of work contains refund or cancellation terms specific to your engagement, those specific terms will govern to the extent they conflict with this general policy.

2. Digital Marketing Services and Refund Eligibility

Clemon Marketing provides professional digital marketing services that may include search engine optimization, technical SEO, on-page optimization, content strategy and content marketing, local SEO, link building, paid advertising management, social media marketing, website and conversion optimization, strategy development, consulting, reporting, and related services.

Due to the nature of these services, fees may become non-refundable once work has commenced, resources have been allocated, campaigns have been configured, research has been completed, keyword or competitor analysis has been performed, or deliverables have been created specifically for a client. This reflects the fact that SEO and digital marketing work is labor- and expertise-intensive from the outset, even before final deliverables are handed off — strategic planning, audits, and research represent real time and value delivered.

Any refund consideration will take into account the service purchased, work completed, costs incurred, time elapsed since the engagement began, and the specific circumstances surrounding the request. Refund decisions are made on a case-by-case basis rather than through a fixed formula, since projects vary significantly in scope and structure.

3. Service Cancellation Before Work Begins

If a client requests cancellation before Clemon Marketing has started work on the applicable service, the request may be considered for a refund depending on the circumstances.

A cancellation request should be submitted as soon as possible through the contact information provided on this website. If no work, preparation, research, campaign setup, content production, account access review, or other service activity has begun, Clemon Marketing may determine that a full or partial refund is appropriate.

Once work has begun — including internal preparation not yet visible to the client, such as initial audits, research, or planning — the refund terms applicable to completed or committed work described in Section 4 will apply instead. We encourage clients to reach out promptly with any change-of-mind or cancellation requests, as earlier notice generally allows for a more favorable outcome.

4. Refunds for Completed or Partially Completed Work

Payments associated with work that has already been completed, delivered, or substantially performed are generally not refundable.

This may include strategy development, research, account setup, campaign configuration, content preparation, SEO work, technical audits, website analysis, keyword research, competitor research, consultation time, reporting, optimization work, and other professional services rendered.

Where a project has been partially completed, any refund consideration may be based on the portion of the work that has not yet been performed, after accounting for committed expenses, resources allocated, and professional time already invested. In multi-month or retainer-based engagements, fees for a given billing period generally become non-refundable once that period’s work has begun, even if the overall project is ongoing.

5. Advertising Spend and Third-Party Costs

Advertising budgets, media spend, platform charges, transaction charges, software subscriptions, domain or hosting costs, and other third-party expenses may be separate from Clemon Marketing’s professional service fees.

Amounts already paid to or spent through third-party platforms — including but not limited to search engines, social media advertising platforms, SEO tools, or hosting providers — are generally not refundable by Clemon Marketing. Clients should review the refund and cancellation policies of the applicable advertising platform or third-party provider directly, as those providers govern their own charges independently of our services.

Clemon Marketing cannot guarantee reimbursement of third-party charges that have already been incurred, whether those charges were authorized directly by the client or managed on the client’s behalf as part of an agreed campaign.

6. Client Requests for Refunds

Refund requests should be submitted in writing and should include sufficient information to identify the applicable service, payment, invoice or transaction date, and reason for the request.

Refund requests may be reviewed based on the service agreement, project scope, payment records, work completed to date, communications exchanged during the engagement, and other applicable circumstances. Clemon Marketing may request additional information or clarification to properly evaluate a request.

Submitting a refund request does not automatically create an entitlement to a refund. Clemon Marketing will review the request in good faith and communicate the applicable decision, along with the reasoning behind it, within a reasonable timeframe.

7. Dissatisfaction With Marketing Results

Digital marketing performance can be affected by numerous factors, including competition, market conditions, search engine algorithm changes, advertising platform policies, budgets, website performance, customer demand, audience behavior, seasonality, and other factors outside the agency’s control.

For this reason, dissatisfaction with traffic, rankings, leads, sales, conversions, advertising performance, or other marketing outcomes does not automatically qualify for a refund. SEO in particular is a long-term discipline where meaningful results typically develop over weeks or months rather than immediately, and refund eligibility is not tied to the pace or scale of ranking or traffic improvements.

Clemon Marketing does not guarantee specific rankings, traffic levels, leads, revenue, sales, return on investment, or other particular marketing results, and no refund claim will be honored solely on the basis that expected outcomes were not achieved, unless an express written agreement states a specific, guaranteed deliverable that was not met.

8. Duplicate or Incorrect Payments

If a client accidentally makes a duplicate payment or an incorrect payment is processed, Clemon Marketing may review the transaction and, where appropriate, arrange for the excess amount to be returned.

Any applicable transaction, processing, currency conversion, or third-party costs may be considered when determining the amount returned. Clemon Marketing will make reasonable efforts to resolve verified duplicate or erroneous payments promptly once identified.

Clients should contact Clemon Marketing promptly if they believe a payment was duplicated or processed incorrectly, ideally including transaction confirmations or receipts to help expedite the review.

9. Refund Processing and Timing

Where a refund has been approved, the refund will generally be processed using the original payment method where reasonably possible.

The time required for the funds to appear in the client’s account may depend on the payment provider, financial institution, card issuer, or other payment service involved, and can typically range from several business days to a full billing cycle depending on that provider.

Clemon Marketing is not responsible for delays caused by third-party payment processors or financial institutions after a refund has been submitted on our end. Clients are encouraged to follow up with their bank or payment provider directly if an approved refund has not appeared within the timeframe indicated by that provider.
